That lineup was kinda weak for a 3-day festival. I'm guessing they couldn't sell anywhere close to 13,000 tickets without any big names. The weird thing about Blue Ridge was that it sold out and they didn't feed the staff or rent a few fork lifts. I'm still holding my breath for a refund.

Was how the dude behind the festival, was so incredibly entitled and totally uncaring he was gaslighting the people who paid or even travelled to the original site expecting to camp out ? I heard there were some that flew in and had made plans that only found out the site for the festival moved some seceral hundred miles away and in some dank club ! Anyways what a shitshow and I hope this loser gets sued into the ground 😡🤬😡

For those of you who got ripped off at Capuletfest, the promoter was easy to find. I'm not a doxxer, so you will need to search on your own, but his location is out there. If you would like to have a word with him in person about your refund. Or whatever.

As tight as money is these days and somebody just wants to see a Metal Concert and you fucked them and the bands. I got a feeling by no fault of theirs that Skillet is prolly the only band that got paid.

The fact that so many festivals crash and burn like this goes to show just how insane it was to pull off stuff like Mayhem and Warped every year. Wish I could've been a teenager in the 2000s.

As someone from CT and central CT specifically, I did not buy tix for this bc I wasn’t around that weekend. I dodged a bullet. The Webster is actually a great venue, but obviously not for this size. I saw Power Trip there in 2019.

I use to be in a band with a promoter, and he’s a fkn snake. He booked BLS and they bounced when they got to the venue and nothing on their rider was fulfilled. Then he didn’t refund any tickets.

I've been a part of the Connecticut Hardcore & Metal scene as a muscian, promoter & fan since the mid 90s and THIS bullshit that went down with "capulet fest" was and will forever be by far the BIGGEST kick in the balls embarrassment to our scene, our state, our fans & all the band's! We pride ourselves in being a part of the Tri-State area who back in the late 70 through the 80s & into the 90s pushed and merged metal with punk rock to form hardcore! Not only was our scene a place to go to see your favorite underground bands, it was a family who accepted & supported everyone and gave everyone a place to go off the streets and we stood up and proteced it no matter what. Nowadays all these wannabe promoters and shitheads alike think it's all a big fuckin game & think that people are stupid but they stepped into and fuct with the wrong people not even realizing that there are still hardcore/Metalcore bands & fans out there who still have all the same pride from the early days and if or when you try and put your hands in their pockets you're fuct! There's a lot of blind people out there these days but not us.....We see what went on here and at other events as well. You fuct with the wrong family!

Only time I've ever dealt with the cancellation of a band was when I was going to see Cynic on a Tuesday night and the band broke up the Saturday before. Gutted but The Underworld, in Camden(London, UK) did refund tickets. It was so annoying, couldn't you guys have waited and played that ONE damn show? Crazy!

Looks like they pulled the classic small time, small dick event promoter move, they hedged expense coverage on the future sale of yet-to-be-sold tickets. You have to have the money up front to cover 100% of expenses. Gather investment partners & corporate sponsors. Then if it all goes to hell, you at least have some tax write-off, your public image is spared, and you still have half a chance of customers coming to future events.

this is what happens when u have very little capital or investors to start and rely on ticket sales and booth and merch percentages income to pay the rent and insurance lol…. that’s usually the first thing to pay for, day one.

So I’m in CT, thought about going to this and so happy I didn’t. The speedway and the Webster have about a 13k seat difference. This promoter and organizer is such a joke
